Disorderly Student Arrested
On 6/12/14 Riverside School Resource Officer, Anthony Congemi, was summoned to meet with the high school principal to assist with a disorderly student. The student, an 18 year old male, had been punching lockers and a water fountain and was yelling profanities. Ptl. Congemi observed the subject screaming profanities at the principal and then start to walk away. He was told to stop. The student then began to walk away out of the school. He was then ordered to stop again at which point he began running out of the school. Ptl. Congemi began to chase after him and was injured in the process.
Ptl. Congemi suffered injuries to his leg and arm. He was treated and released from Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly. The student was taken into custody and lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of $8,000 bail.
