Riverside Police Execute Search Warrant - Arrest Heroin Dealer

On November 26, 2014, members of the Riverside Township Police executed a search warrant at the River Terrace apartment complex.  The four month investigation began with reports that Bruce A. Hunt, originally from Palmyra, was selling heroin out of an apartment in the complex.  As a result of the investigation, Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for the apartment where Hunt was residing.  As a result of the search, officers located and seized a distribution quantity of heroin found to be in Hunt’s possession.  Also seized from the apartment were cash and packaging material.

Bruce Hunt, 50 years old, was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 1000 ft of a School Zone.  He was lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of $60,000 bail.

The Riverside Police continue to take a proactive approach to investigations involving the heroin and prescription drug problem that is plaguing all of our communities. We continue to monitor those individuals who have been identified as being “addicted” to opioid-related drugs and through these investigations we have been able to assist with getting those persons the assistance they need towards making a recovery.

These investigations have also identified subjects who specifically sell heroin and/or prescriptions drugs.  Those subjects will be dealt with strictly and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
