Eagle Scout Candidate's Project Focuses on Police and Citizen Safety
Paul Tursi Jr., of Riverside Boy Scout Troop 2, completed his Eagle Scout project at the Riverside Police Station today! Paul designed, funded, and installed officer safety checklist signs. The signs are posted in the patrol car parking area and are intended to reinforce officer safety at the beginning of their shift.
Paul also created an Internet Purchase Exchange Zone. The Internet Purchase Exchange Zone, situated behind the police station, is a safe, video recorded location designated for people to conduct transactions from places such as Craigslist. Paul's project has improved the safety of our officers and provided a valuable community service.
We would like to say thank you for thinking of us, and best of luck in your endeavor of earning the rank of Eagle Scout!
