Arson Suspect Captured with Assistance from Riverside Community

On 12/15/2020 at approximately 4:51 pm, the Riverside Police and Fire Department were dispatched to a vehicle fire near South Fairview Street.  While police units were en route, it was reported that witnesses observed a male suspect run from the scene of the fire.  Upon arrival, the vehicle was observed to be engulfed in flames.  An investigation ensued and as a result of assistance from neighbors and witnesses passing by the scene, a suspect was quickly developed.  Through their investigation, Riverside Detectives were able to identify Donnie C. Morgan, 22 years, of Edgewater Park, NJ as the primary suspect.  Later that same night, detectives were able to locate Morgan at a residence in Willingboro, NJ and with the assistance of officers from the Edgewater Park and Willingboro Police, Riverside Detectives took Morgan into custody. 

Donnie C. Morgan was charged with 2nd degree Aggravated Arson and lodged in Burlington County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
