Riverside Sergeant Completes Prestigious Leadership Academy

Congratulations to Sgt. Brandon Conard on his graduation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership Academy! The academy training focuses on conflict management, critical thinking, communications, counseling, decision making, and leadership science. The program has been in existence since 1993 when members of NJSACOP collaborated with the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, to develop future police leaders. Candidates for the program are required to commit considerable personal time and energy to pass this academically demanding course. The academy's graduation ceremony had been postponed to to the pandemic.  Sgt. Conard becomes one of only four Riverside Police Officers that have completed this training since it's inception.
