Two New Police Chaplains Appointed

The Riverside Township Committee appointed two new Police Chaplains at the public meeting last night.  Retired Police Officer and Chaplain, Samuel Dyson, and Chaplain Ronoldo Empke were both appointed to the new positions.  Samuel has years of experience as a Police Chaplain and has worked assisting Riverside residents as a member of the New Jersey Treatment Incentive Program (NJ TIP).  Ronoldo is also a member of NJ TIP and is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.

Samuel and Ronoldo will join Theodore King III as Riverside Police Chaplains.  King III is an original member of our Chaplain program that was established in 2016.

The Riverside Police Chaplain volunteer program was created to provide a more comprehensive police response by providing comfort and support during local death notifications, scenes of a tragedy, working with troubled juveniles through community service projects, and providing counsel to employees and their families upon request.  The program has allowed us to provide an overall better quality of services.

We welcome Sam and Ronoldo and thank them for their commitment to Riverside Township.
