Speeding Violation Leads to Wanted Person Arrest

Riverside – Yesterday afternoon, a Riverside Township officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed along West Washington Street.  A traffic stop was conducted and the operator of the vehicle was found to be Luis Antonio Hernandez Sanchez, 25 yrs, of Wilmington, Delaware.  Sanchez had an active warrant for his arrest out of Riverside Township stemming from a stabbing incident in 2017.  Sanchez is facing criminal charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon without a lawful purpose.  He was also found to be operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and he did not possess a valid driver’s license.  

Sanchez was placed under arrest and transported to the Riverside Township Police Department where he was processed and then lodged at the Burlington County Correctional Facility in Mt. Holly, NJ pending a detention hearing.
