Driver Carjacked While Making Food Delivery
Three Suspects Apprehended After Foot Chase
Riverside – Yesterday evening at approximately 6:24 pm, the Riverside Township Police were dispatched to the area of Delaware Avenue for the report of a man who was assaulted and his vehicle stolen. The victim reported to officers that he was returning to his vehicle after making a food delivery and saw a man entering the driver’s seat of his Toyota Camry. A physical altercation between the vehicle owner and the suspect then ensued. The suspect then assaulted the owner of the vehicle, pulled out a knife and threatened to harm him. The suspect (later identified as a 16 year old juvenile) then sped away in the victim’s vehicle, taking additional food deliveries and cash. The suspect had two accomplices with him who attempted to enter the vehicle during the altercation in an apparent attempt to take cash and food.
