Two Juveniles Identified and Charged in Vehicle Burglary Cases

Riverside Township Police
Riverside, NJ

Riverside Township - Two juvenile suspects have been charged in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred earlier this summer.

On June 14 and July 20, Riverside Township officers responded to multiple reports of overnight vehicle burglaries, where six vehicles were found damaged in apparent attempts to steal them. Similar incidents were reported during the same time frame in neighboring Delanco Township.

A joint investigation conducted by Riverside Township detectives, in collaboration with a Delanco Township police detective, led to the identification of two 15-year-old males—one from Delanco and one from Riverside. Both juveniles have been charged with multiple counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, and criminal attempt of theft of a motor vehicle. They have been released to the custody of their parents or guardians pending court hearings.

We send our thanks and appreciation to our residents who provided valuable information during the investigation, as well as to the Delanco Township Police Department for their assistance.

Our partnerships with neighboring departments and strong relationships with our residents play a vital role in solving crimes and preventing future criminal activity.
