Vandalism Suspect Bites, Punches Officer During Arrest

Riverside - A 31-year-old Pleasantville man was taken into custody Tuesday morning after a violent confrontation with officers in the Riverside business district.  Riverside Township Police officers were dispatched to the rear of a business on Scott Street for a disorderly male suspect.  The store owner reported to police that the male suspect, identified as 31-year-old Quesean T. Triniwell of Pleasantville, NJ, was illegally parked in his lot, threatening him and his customers, and was refusing to leave.  Upon officers arrival, the suspect was found to have committed criminal mischief upon the business owner's vehicle by marking it with graffiti and puncturing the tires with a knife.  When the Riverside officers attempted to place him under arrest, he punched one of the officers in the chest and then bit him in the leg.  Four officers sustained cuts and scratches on their hands, elbows, and knees while attempting to place him under arrest.  He continued to fight with them, and only after several minutes were they able to get him into custody.  Triniwell was found to have a kitchen knife in his possession.  The officer who was bitten was treated at the hospital.  The other officers were treated at the scene.  

Triniwell was charged with:  

4 counts of Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement
Resisting Arrest w/ Force
Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose
Criminal Mischief
Obstructing the Administration of Law

Triniwell was lodged at the Burlington County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
