Intern Successfully Completes Riverside Township Police Program
We would like to congratulate Shane Hess on the completion of his municipal law enforcement officer internship. Shane, a student at the Rowan College of Burlington County, joined the Riverside Township Police Department this past September, after being accepted into our student internship program. Our internship program allows a college-level student to experience the daily operations within a municipal police department. During his time here, Shane was assigned to our Patrol Operations, Records Administration, and Detective Bureau; along with spending time with our School Resource Officers and our Municipal Court officers. The 90 hour program is designed to provide college students who are thinking about a career in law enforcement with the in-person experience of the life of a municipal police officer.
