Three Officers Complete Rigorous Police Academy Training

Blackwood, NJ - The Riverside Township Police are proud to announce the graduation of three officers from the Camden County Police Academy, Class #92.  The newly trained officers were among 68 recruits who graduated yesterday, surrounded by friends, family, and fellow officers.  Sworn in with the police department in June, Patrolman Andrew Everman, Patrolman Hunter Matthews, and  SLEO II Matthew Parrish successfully completed 21 weeks of the demanding academic and physical training required, including NJ law, physical fitness, defensive tactics, vehicle operations, firearms, managing critical incidents, and more. 

Ptl. Andrew Everman is a graduate of Cinnaminson High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  Ptl. Hunter Matthews is a graduate of Rancocas Valley High School and is pursuing a degree at Rowan University.  SLEO II Matthew Parrish, a graduate of Southern Regional High School, has been a member of the Riverside Township Police since September 2024, serving as Parking Enforcement Officer.

The newly trained officers will now join the department and begin their field training program. We wish them the best as they start their law enforcement careers, and we look forward to their future contributions to our community!
