Four Teenagers Charged in Robbery; Proceeds Located in Port-o-John

On June 7, 2016 at approximately 1:15pm, the Riverside Township Police responded to a call for a robbery with force along the 100 block of Kossuth St.  Upon arrival, the victim, a 67 year old male, reported that he was approached by three males and a female.   He told police that the suspects held him down, punched him, and took his wallet and cash from him.  The suspects then fled in a vehicle.  The victim, along with witnesses, were able to provide a description of the suspects and their vehicle to police.  Riverside officers, along with the assistance of the Delran Police, were able to locate that vehicle and take the four suspects into custody.  The subsequent investigation led police to a nearby park where police recovered property stolen from the victim inside a port-o-john.

The suspects were identified as Justin Cole, 18, of Burlington, Richard Gonteski, 18, of Riverside, Jamahd Mitchell, 18, of Willingboro, and Sara Slawinski, 18, of Riverside.

All four suspects were charged with Robbery with Force and Aggravated Assault and bail was set at $50,000 w/ 10%.  They were all lodged at Burlington County Jail in default of bail.

Riverside Police Debut Kidz Funzone Game Center Truck Tonight!

The Riverside Police Department is proud to introduce the newest vehicle in our fleet, the "Kidz Funzone Game Center."  The truck was seized after being used in the commission of a crime and was transformed with the help of our generous sponsors.  The "Kidz Funzone Game Center" has three 55" televisions connected to  XBOX 360's, and a booming stereo system. It is also outfitted with games, sports equipment, and a 12'x12' outdoor movie screen.  The truck will be used throughout the year for outdoor movies and game nights.  We hope you will stop to visit us behind the police station tonight from 6p-8p to check out the "Kidz Funzone Game Center."
