Two Charged For Prescription Drug Diversion

Today around 2:45pm Detectives observed a subject wondering in an area known for drug dealing. The subject met with another and a transaction took place. One male was arrested, it was found that he had given the other male subject "Suboxone" a prescription drug. Suboxone is used to help those fighting addiction to Opiates. The drug is commonly abused by persons not using opiates and those not able to obtain opiates from going through withdraw symptoms. Both subjects were issued complaints and released pending court. Suboxone is a controlled substance and can only be obtained with a valid presciption.
