Virtual Ride Along Details Announced

On Friday March 14th, the Riverside Police Department host our first "Virtual Ride Along" from 2 p.m. until 12 a.m.  During that ten hour period officers will share their patrol vehicles with their Twitter followers.  We anticipate Tweeting two to three times an hour.  This is an opportunity to get first hand information as officers share the calls, encounters and events of their shift.  During this "Virtual Ride Along" officers will live Tweet during their patrol activity and possibly send photos and videos.   We  hope to post give the public a glimpse into a day in the life of a police officer from comfort and safety of their computer or smartphone.  You can follow us by easily signing up for a free Twitter account and following us @riversidepdnj.

In addition to the "Virtual Ride Along," we use Twitter to keep community members updated on events, community hazards, natural disasters and police activity.
