Free Car Seat Inspections Now Available

On Saturday two Riverside Police officers completed a four day training class to be become nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST).  Statistics show that 73% of all car seats are not used or installed incorrectly.  This certification program allows us to provide another valuable service to the community.
The officers will educate parents/caregivers and provide hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts free of charge. A majority of parents still misuse their child restraints and need help to get it right, and that's where we come in.  If you are the parent/caregiver of a child and would like a certified technician to inspect your child safety seat please email Ptl. Brandon Conard or Ptl. Tim Marano to set up your free appointment.
