Threat Towards Police on Twitter Results in Arrest

On 1/24/15 the Riverside Township Police were alerted through their Twitter account that a user of the social media tool sent out a threatening message of violence directed at the Riverside Township Police.  As a result of this threat of violence towards law enforcement, a state-wide alert was sent out and numerous agencies became involved with the investigation.  Through the investigation, a suspect was developed, located and charged.  He was identified as a juvenile male resident of Riverside Township.  He was charged with Terroristic Threats and released to the custody of his parents pending juvenile court.

Any threats of violence towards law enforcement will not be tolerated and will be thoroughly investigated.  Any persons, adult or juvenile, found responsible for directing violent threats towards law enforcement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
