Police Outscore Fire but Community is Real Winner at Basketball Event!

2016 Police vs. Fire Basketball Players

On Saturday night members of the Riverside Police Department went head to head on the basketball court with members of the Riverside Fire Company.  Riverside Police outscored the firemen 59-41 in an event that benefited the Riverside Police Explorer Program and Riverside Fire Company Outreach Program.

The real winner of the event was our community, and the estimated 400 people that turned out to support both of our organizations.  The well attended game yielded over $900 for each of the two programs.

This first ever Riverside  Police vs Fire basketball game showcased the camaraderie between the police and fire department.   Thanks to all the members of Riverside Fire Company!  You played a great game!  We truly appreciate all those that volunteered their time to help with the event.  We again thank event sponsors Galdo Jewlers, Chick-fil-A of Delran, and Dental Wellness of Riverton.
