Suspect Arrested in String of Commercial Burglaries

Today, Riverside Police arrested Jerome T. Barber, 54 of Beverly, after a Detective observed him walking in the business district.  Mr. Barber was arrested and charged with two commercial burglaries in Riverside,  The first burglary occurred on 1/27/16 at the China Garden restaurant on Scott St.  The next day, Mr. Barber burglarized a martial art variety store on N. Pavilion Ave.  The proceeds from the burglaries was approximately $1,000.
Riverside Detectives worked with the Edgewater Park Detective Bureau and New Jersey Transit Police and quickly identified the Mr. Barber as the suspect.
After arrest police were able to solve four other commercial burglaries; one in Burlington City, one in Burlington Township, and two in Edgewater Park.  Mr. Barber's bail was set at $50,000 for the Riverside Burglaries.
