Husband and Wife Charged in Burglary to Residence

On May 23, 2016, Riverside Police responded to the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue for the report of a burglary to a residence.  Upon arrival, the police met with the homeowner and found that a rear window had been forced open and numerous items taken from the house.  Among those items taken were electronics, clothing, jewelry, perfume and a significant amount of cash.

Police quickly developed suspects, Charles D. Greer, Jr (30)
of Riverside and, his wife, Candi (Hart) Greer (30) of Burlington Township.  Both suspects were observed in the area at the time of the burglary.  Through the investigation, police detectives discovered that both subjects checked into a motel in Maple Shade just hours after the burglary and spent close to $2000 purchasing clothing, electronics and jewelry at stores throughout the Moorestown Mall that same day.

On May 25, 2016, Riverside Police detectives located the husband and wife at Charles Greer's residence in Riverside.  As a result of a search of that residence, numerous items stolen from the burglary on Lincoln Ave were recovered.  As the investigation progressed, it was found that Charles Greer was the main actor responsible for the burglary.  His wife, Candi, was found to have knowledge that her husband committed the burglary and assisted him in spending the cash stolen from the house.

Charles D. Greer Jr. was charged with Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief, Possession of Heroin and Possession of Marijuana with bail set at $75,000 full.  He was lodged in Burlington County Jail.

Candi (Hart) Greer was charged with Receiving Stolen Property with bail set at $10,000 full.  She was lodged in Burlington County Jail
