Patrolman Kevin Joo Named 2017 Officer of the Year

On Wednesday, January 3rd the Riverside Police Department held its annual award dinner at Cafe Madison in Riverside.  Patrolman Kevin Joo was named Officer of the Year for 2017.  In 2017 Ptl. Joo effected 129 arrests, investigated 120 cases, conducted 197 motor vehicle stops, and made 14 drug arrests.  He also received a Chief's Citation for his actions at a house fire in Delanco on December 29th.

Last year's Officer of the Year, Michael Megara, also received a Chief's Citation for his actions at the Delanco house fire.

Other awards presented:

Chief's Citation:  Det. Brandon Conard for apprehension of a heroin dealer, arrest and conviction of armed robbery suspects, and numerous other burglary and theft arrests.

First Aid Award:  SLEO II Robert Settimio for a CPR save.
First Aid Award:  Ptl. Scott Snow for a CPR save.
Community Service Award:  Ptl. Timothy Marano, Ptl. Michael Hynes, and Capt. David Jaensch for work with Kidz Funzone, Haunted Police Station, and Christmas in Riverside.
Exception Duty:  Lt. Louis Fisher for his work with the T.I.P.
