On Friday 2/28/2020, several Riverside Police Officers were honored by the 200 Club of Burlington County.  Sgt. Brandon Conard, Ptl. Anthony Congemi, Ptl. Brendon Griffin, and Ptl. Shane Pettit were presented  the Meritorious Service Award.  In September of 2019 the officers were called to investigate a missing female.  The case quickly unfolded and officers believed the victim had been kidnapped.   The victim had been taken from her residence while being threatened with a weapon and sexually assaulted at another location.   The officers worked tenaciously and were able to locate the victim and arrest the offender. The suspect was charged with Kidnapping, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Aggravated Assault, and weapon charges.  The suspect was recently sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Lieutenant Louis Fisher was presented with the President's Award for his work in battling the opioid crisis in Riverside and surrounding communities by starting Riverside TIP (Treatment Incentive Program) in 2014 and creating the NJ TIP Program in 2016.

The Riverside Police Department also received an academic scholarship sponsored by Dietz and Watson for $1,500.  The money will be used to send Ptl. Jasmine Vaccaro to EMT training in the fall.

We would like to congratulate all of the award recipients and thank the 200 Club for recognizing our officers and selecting us for the scholarship.  We would also like to thank Dietz and Watson for providing the training scholarship funding, and their support of law enforcement.
