Body Recovered Near Rancocas Creek

Riverside Yesterday evening, at approximately 6:50 pm, the Riverside Township Police were dispatched to a wooded area near Polk Street for the report of a deceased person.  Officers met with the caller who stated they were walking in the woods near the Rancocas Creek and located the body of an adult male.  Riverside officers were able to identify the deceased as Carlos Julio Chacha Gunsha, 34 yrs, of Riverside, NJ.  Based on the information gathered to this point, there is no obvious evidence of criminal activity, nor is there any threat to our residents related to this incident.  The investigation is ongoing.    

Approximately four weeks ago, on September 11, Gunsha was reported as a missing person, by a friend, after not seeing him for approximately five days.  Based on the investigation to locate him over the past month, it was determined that Gunsha, a native of Ecuador, had no immediate family members living in the area.  Public requests to assist with locating Gunsha, or any of his relatives or friends, throughout the missing persons investigation, have gone unanswered.  Riverside Detectives conducted additional efforts overnight and throughout today to notify his family members, but have been unable to locate any relatives.
