Riverside, NJ
New Brunswick - We are proud to announce that two of our officers received recognition at the annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) ceremony this morning for their outstanding efforts with drunk driving enforcement in 2024. Ptl. Gabriel Gardner received the award for the “Top Cop” of Burlington County for having the most drunk driving arrests of any other officer in the county. Ptl. Nicholas Strough received a “Special Recognition” award with the 2nd most drunk driving arrests in all of Burlington County.
The Riverside Township Police are dedicated to proactive drunk driving enforcement through special enforcement details, grant applications and officer training. In 2024, our officers conducted over 2,500 car stops with 97 of those drivers being arrested for Driving while Intoxicated. Our officers are working hard to make sure our streets in Riverside Township are safe from intoxicated drivers.
