Riverside Township Police Welcome New Officers

Riverside Township Police
Riverside, NJ

The Riverside Township Police welcomed two new full-time officers to their ranks this evening.  Andrew Everman and Hunter Matthews were both sworn in as Patrolmen at the monthly township meeting, with members of the police department looking on.  SLEO I Matthew Parrish, was also sworn in as a SLEO II officer.  They are all scheduled to enter the Camden  County Police Academy on July 7th, where they will undergo approximately six months of demanding academic and physical training including NJ law, physical fitness, defensive tactics, vehicle operations, firearms, managing critical incidents and more.

Andrew Everman is a graduate of Cinnaminson High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He joins Hunter Matthews, a recent graduate of Rancocas Valley High School and a student-athlete at Rowan University, as the newest members of our department. Parrish has been a member of the Riverside Township Police since September of 2024, serving mostly in the role as Parking Enforcement Officer.

We are excited to formally welcome these accomplished individuals to our department following a rigorous recruitment process that started in February of this year.   We wish them the best as they embark on the demanding journey of completing their training at the police academy, and we look forward to their future contributions to our community.
