Driver Flees Police During Motor Vehicle Stop
Riverside, NJ
A warrant for the arrest of 54 year old Curtis L. Thompson of Camden, NJ has been issued on charges of Eluding (2nd degree), Resisting Arrest by Flight (3rd degree) and Obstructing the Administration of Law (4th degree). He is currently WANTED by the Riverside Township Police.
Just after
2 am on Sunday morning, the Riverside Township Police were on patrol when they
observed a vehicle illegally parked in the middle of the roadway on Kossuth
Street. A Patrolman conducted a motor
vehicle stop and identified the driver as Curtis L. Thompson. Thompson became
uncooperative when the officer told him to exit the vehicle. After continuously refusing to comply with
the officer’s directions, Thompson was informed that he was being placed under
arrest. After continuing to ignore officers'
commands to exit the vehicle, Thompson drove off at a high rate of speed when
officers attempted to remove him from the vehicle. Thompson was operating a white 2019 Chevrolet
Equinox 4-door vehicle with NJ license plate C59RSF.
